Every 2nd Sunday 1/14, 2/11, 3/10, 4/14, 5/12
This class will guide you through a series of somatic movement experiences with a focus on our capacity for connection. The intent of the class is two-fold. One, to invite you into a present-moment experience that can enhance how you experience your body and the world around you. Two, to give you an introduction to some things that you could incorporate into your personal self-care practice.
Connection is a word we hear a lot lately. In this class we are going to focus our attention on three areas of potential connection: Mother Earth, our own body, and the world around us. You will be guided in somatic movement experiences, some Spacial Dynamics exercises and maybe even a little singing. You can participate in the class as an experience of the present moment, and you will be introduced to exercises that you can put to use and incorporate into your own practice.
Bruce works primarily out of Spacial Dynamics and the teachings of Jaimen McMillan. He draws on his experience as a Waldorf teacher and his ongoing study of the teachings of Rudolf Steiner as well as his training as a Craniosacral therapist and the wisdom of his teacher Don Ash. Bruce is a somatic therapist, teacher and musician who loves dancing and all kinds of games and sports.
