This day-long retreat is an invitation to come back to yourself. To ground your energy so you can even more fully relish in the delight of summer.
The dog days of summer are known to be the hottest days of the summer season. These are the days when summer is at its ripest, bringing heat, thunderstorms, and an explosion of growth in crops. These days are marked by the rising of Sirius, the dog, constellation.
In these parts, summer can feel like a fleeting blur. You have more energy with the warmth and light of the sun. There is always something to do outside, vacation to enjoy, or celebrations to attend. It is easy to exuberantly overextend your energy.
