Birch Bark Ornament Making

Enjoy the simple pleasure of creating a decoration or gift from local, responsibly harvested materials. Utilizing techniques common to the Scandinavian and Russian style of basketry, you will craft birds and stars using strips of inner bark from the paper birch. Included is a discussion on how these materials are harvested and prepared. 

Included is a discussion and demo on how the material is harvested and processed. Ages 14 and up.

Cost of registration is $80/person.
A $30 materials fee will be paid to the instructor on the day of class.

Class will be held at Mudita and guided by Penny Hewitt of Lazy Mill Treecraft.
