Class: Grounding Yoga

When you arrive at my yoga class, you can anticipate a well-balanced practice that integrates mobility, strength, flexibility, and balance, with an emphasis on linking breath to movement. I bring a strong foundation in movement from my background in dance, along with over four years of experience teaching yoga.

My approach blends elements from my Ashtanga training with a primarily vinyasa-based style, incorporating strength-focused movement to build stability and confidence. I also draw on my dance background to encourage fluidity and space for creative expression.

I am preparing to return to school to study physical therapy and look forward to integrating a deeper understanding of body mechanics into my teaching.

Outside of yoga, I stay engaged in running, climbing, biking, and strength training, and I’m hoping to get back into a dance studio! I also enjoy painting. Movement and art are central to my life, and I value sharing them within a supportive, connected community.

Class: Integrated Vinyasa

I took my first yoga class as a freshman in college, hoping for an easy A. I got the A, and, over 15 years later, I’m still learning “how to do yoga”. Having explored many different yogic traditions, from Ashtanga to Bikram to Hatha to Vinyasa to Yin, I approach yoga as an embodied form of mindful awareness, with an emphasis on curiosity, play, and balanced functional strength and flexibility. I enjoy infusing my classes with creative transitions, intentional movement, and slow, steady breath to balance and calm the body, mind and nervous system.

I received my 200-hour certification from the Keene Yoga Center and spent 9 months living and working at The Sanctuary at Two Rivers retreat in Costa Rica, studying yoga and Ayurveda. When I’m not teaching or practicing yoga, I enjoy exploring the great outdoors, cooking and reading.
